BESCOM makes payment of power bills easy

BANGALORE: Pay your power bills using your ATM, or better still at your doorstep when a bill is handed over by BESCOM officials.
The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company seems to have set their minds on making life easy for the customer. At least that''s what it sounds like when BESCOM MD Bharat Lal Meena on Day 2 of the BATF pre-summit meet on Thursday assured that power bills can now be payed through ATMs of the SBI, ICICI and Corporation Bank with whom the BESCOM has tied-up.
Starting March BESCOM will start the on-the-spot hand held meter reading scheme.Not only will bill be given immediately but BESCOM customers can also pay up by cheque, cash or DD to the authorised BESCOM employee.
BESCOM is also partnering with BWSSB for payment of power bills at BWSSB''s e-com kiosks and Bangalore 1 kiosks. ``We will also ensure error-free computerised bills from February, without any manual corrections," said Meena.
